The summer is coming in with a BANG!!! Last week Lt. Governor Austin Davis spoke at White Rose Senior Center about a program highlighting new health care benefits for older Pennsylvanians. Commissioner Doug Hoke, Mayor Michael Helfrich, Retired Senator Roy Afflerbach, YCAAA Executive Director Mark Shea, and many members from the Center were present.
Last Friday, John Wolfe, a former Home Delivered Meal Driver, was given an AARP Wish of a Lifetime to fly over York County. John is 98 years young, lives at Country Meadows in Shiloh, is a WW2 Vet, a writer, and one of the sweetest men you will ever meet. Lisa Krout was invited by John’s family to come and see John fly the plane at Thomasville Airport. It was such an honor to share this with an amazing person! Hats off to you John!!!
Cash & Gift Card Bingo is gearing up on Saturday, July 13th. The doors open at 11:00 and bingo starts at 12:00. $50 Cash and $50 Gift Card Value makes for a HOT Day! This is open to the public. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. There will be Food for Sale, Raffles, Pull Tickets, and Door Prizes!
